NEW CONSTRUCTION OF THE CITY HARBOUR LEIPZIG

A vision becomes reality

In the fall of 2021, Stadthafen Leipzig GmbH was awarded the contract for the further operation and expansion of the site. This was preceded by a Europe-wide tendering process. We are getting bigger and even more beautiful and are looking forward to experiencing the exciting time of the expansion together with our guests. The expansion is due to be completed in 2026. Until then, operations will of course continue. Tours with our electrically powered motorboats will be offered, as will the rental of canoes and SUPs. No one will have to miss out on our restaurants with the beach bar and the city beach with the Ahoi beach stage. We are only about 30 m to the side, on the neighbouring property of the historic Blüthner Villa. The boats are handed out from the opposite bank of the Elstermühlgraben.

What can our guests look forward to in the "city harbour of the future"? After its completion, it will become even more the heart of the tourist waterway network. The 4,000 m² harbour basin offers berths for three passenger ships, 40 sports and family boats as well as moorings for canoes. There are also six additional berths for passenger ships on the outer pier. In addition to buildings for the accommodation and rental of boats and for port-related services, there will also be a service building for catering, which will also serve as an exclusive event location in this maritime ambience. Accessibility, sustainability and environmental friendliness also played a central role in the planning.
