Your safety is our top priority. We would therefore like to provide you with some important information and tips for travelling on Leipzig's rivers and streams.
The water traffic rules

Life jackets are compulsory for persons up to the age of 12. These are provided free of charge by our team. All other paddling enthusiasts can of course also hire a life jacket!

The consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited on the water. In the event of an alcohol check by the water police, a blood alcohol level of over 0.2% can mean the withdrawal of your driving licence, a fine and points in Flensburg. This applies in particular to the boat driver.

The right-hand driving rule also applies on the water, so please keep to the right bank as far as possible and give way to our competitive athletes, motorboats, rowers and other faster road users. Show consideration for each other!

The waterways must not be blocked. In addition, shore areas and shallow outlets should be avoided. The weirs (Palmgartenwehr, Connewitzer Wehr, Lindenauer Wehr) should be avoided. There is a DANGER TO LIFE there! Travelling through the locks and dams is at your own risk.

In addition, during the summer months, the raft canal may only be navigated from 1 March to 30 September between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. and only by boats that do not exceed a permitted number of 3 persons.
